Press Release Regarding The Turkish Presidency Of G-20

Turkey assumed the Presidency of G-20 on December 1, 2014. G-20 represents two thirds of the world population and almost 80 percent of the global GDP. As such it serves as an inclusive platform to address global issues and challenges.

Through 2015, Turkey will host the G-20 Summit as well as many other events on various issues including energy sustainability, finance, and tax issues. During the Turkish Presidency, G20 will focus on ensuring inclusive and robust growth through collective action, nailed as the three I’s of the Turkish Presidency, i.e. Inclusiveness, Implementation, and Investment for Growth. During its presidency of the G-20 group Turkey will prioritize an inclusive approach to global growth, the implementation of decisions taken by previous G-20 meetings, as well as investment and trade, with specific focus on the SMEs.
